FEINSTEIN

Arthur William Feinstein, 94, of West Hartford, died Dec. 29. He was the husband of Rhoda (Grodin) Feinstein. Born in Deep River and raised in Chester, he was the son of the late Sadie (Shapiro) and Jacob Feinstein. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served as a master sergeant in World War II. He received the Silver Star for his heroism and participated in the liberation of the Thereseinstadt concentration camp. He was a founding member of Beth El Temple in West Hartford. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Carol (Jon) Plotsky of North Potomac, Md., Andrew (Liz Bochain) Feinstein of Stonington, and Nancy Feinstein of Pawcatuck; his grandchildren, Katie and Zoe Feinstein, and Ben and Deborah Plotsky; and his great-grandchildren, Jacob and Savannah Feinstein. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Stanley and Malcolm.
