Preschoolers at K’tanim, the nursery school of Congregation Beth El in Fairfield, got into the spirit of the High Holidays by throwing bread into a kiddie pool as part of the Rosh Hashanah ritual known as “Tashlich.” Meaning “casting off” in Hebrew, Tashlich involves symbolically casting off the sins of the previous year by tossing pieces of bread into a body of water.
