Daniel Libby, 96, died Oct. 13. He was the widower of Eleanor (Sussman) Libby. Born in Thompsonville, he was the son of the late Jacob and Bessie Libby of Thompsonville. He served in the U.S. Army-Air Corps as a radio operator. A Master-Sergeant, Mr. Libby served on a number of bombing missions in Europe during World War II. He was a long-time member of Sinai Temple in Springfield, Mass.He is survived by his nephews and nieces, Norman Fisher (Corinne) of Conn., Seymour Blinderman of N.J., Robert Blinderman of Conn., Louis Libby (Docie) of Ore., Thelma Lorinsky of Conn., Linda Chester (Ken) of Calif., Susan Eidenberg of Md., Fred Sussman (Sondra) of Mass., Richard Gordon (June Swanson) of Penn., Nancy Gordon of N.M., Elaine (Sussman) Shapiro (Gene) of Mass.; and many great-nephews and great-nieces.
