Jewish Student Connection makes Slingshot 2014-15

The Jewish Student Connection has been named one of North America’s top innovative Jewish organizations in the recently released 10th annual Slingshot Guide.

The Jewish Student Connection (JSC) helps high school students explore what being Jewish means to them, inspiring personal connections with Jewish culture, the Jewish people, and Israel. Six Connecticut high schools have JSC clubs on their campuses: AITE/Stamford High School, Masuk High School in Monroe, Newtown High School, Norwalk High School, Staples High School in Westport, and Westhill High School in Stamford.

The Slingshot ’14-’15 Guide, a go-to resource for volunteers, activists and donors looking for new opportunities and projects, aims to help ensure the Jewish community remains relevant and thriving. Among the hundreds of organizations that applied for inclusion, 82 were selected. The organizations were evaluated on their innovative approach, the impact they have in their work, the leadership they have in their sector, and their effectiveness at achieving results.
