West Hartford NCSY (National Council of Synagogue Youth) kicked off its first Shabbat event of the year on Sept. 19-20. More than 50 teens from neighboring cities – and from a broad spectrum of religious backgrounds and youth groups – came together at Hebrew High School of New England (HHNE) in West Hartford, to create an open, warm and inviting atmosphere.

The weekend kicked off with a Friday night oneg that was a total blast – with friends getting together for a communal dinner, and to hang out and chill. The weekend was highlighted by a Saturday night program co-sponsored by the HHNE, featuring entertainment by “Midnight Madness,” a wild late night dodge ball game and followed by pizza.
