The Jewish Federation of Western CT is partnering with area professionals to present a four-part Back to Work Series at the Federation in Southbury. All sessions will be held on Tuesday, with the first one scheduled for Oct. 7, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The series is geared towards anyone, at any stage of their career, seeking employment: stay-at-home moms and dads who wish to work now that their children have gone back to school; those unemployed or those simply thinking of their next career move.
Communications professional Bobbi Knezek, and professional resume writer Bill Florin will host the “Back to Work Tuesday Series.”
The first session is a workshop focusing on resume writing. Participants may bring their resumes. They will receive a preferred template, an editing style guide, and will be given the opportunity to begin writing sections of their resumes.
Subsequent sessions will focus on: Social Media in Your Job Search and Career (Oct. 14), Using Indeed for a Successful Job Search (Oct. 21) and Interview with Confidence (Oct. 28).
Sessions will be held at the Jewish Federation, 444 Main St. North, Southbury. Admission is $10 per session.
