Marissa Beth Wachtel and Michael Benjamin Krebs were married on July 4 in Westport.

The bride is the daughter of Susan and Stuart Wachtel of Simsbury.  She is the granddaughter of Shirley and Julius Wachtel of Avon, and Charlotte Simonovitz and the late Robert Simonovitz of West Hartford.  She is a school counselor.

The groom is the son of Vikki and Steven Krebs of Mt. Kisco, N.Y. He is the grandson of Eve and Werner Krebs of Fort Lee, N.J., and the late Sylvia and Benjamin Rosenbaum. He works in information technology.
