Ronald H. Bessel, 65, of Cheshire, died August 17. He was the husband of Leslie (Schobel) Bessel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Stanley and Esta (Newell) Bessel. He is survived by his sister, Marlene Bessel and her husband Mitchell Baker of Washington, D.C.; his sister-in-law, Stephanie; his nephew Michael; his niece Melissa; and his mother-in-law, Elaine Schobel.
