Robert A. Rubin, 86, of Southington, died July 4. He was the husband of Phyllis (Cohen) Rubin. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Sylvia (Kabatznick) Rubin. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He is survived by his children, Carol Wright and her husband, Phillip, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., David Rubin of Southington and his fiancé Denise Fredericks of Bristol, and Michael Rubin and his wife, Linda, of Colchester and his grandchildren, Stacey (Wright) Cardy and her husband Jansen, Heather, Kylee, Ryan, and Tyler.
