And the Emmy goes to…

Haley negrinHayley Faith Negrin was on the West Coast recently…and she didn’t come home to Connecticut empty-handed. Instead, the 11-year-old from Weston shlepped home the Emmy award she was presented with at the Daytime Emmys, which were held at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, June 22. Negrin, who has been acting since the age of seven, won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her role as Peg on the PBS animated series “Peg+Cat.”

A native of New York, Negrin is the daughter of Jara and Russell Negrin.  Her mother is Board member of UJA/Federation of Westport Weston Wilton Norwalk.  She began her professional career at age seven, appearing in national TV commercials and she is as comfortable on a lacrosse field or basketball court as she is at an “open mike” night at a restaurant.
