Esther (Jacobs) Amerling, 100, of New Haven, died July 16. She was the widow of David D. Amerling. Born in Ansonia, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca Jacobs. She is survived by her children, Linda Amerling of Aventura, Fla., and Richard Amerling and his wife Mary of Madison; her sister, Dorothy Brill of Hamden; her brother, Robert Jacobs of Bethany; and several nieces and nephews.
