Sylvia (Greenbaum) Novarr, 91, of Bloomfield, died May 24. She was the wife of Leo J. Novarr. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of David and Chana (Boimel) Greenbaum. She was a Wave in the U.S. Navy during World War II, stationed in San Diego and served as an Aviation Machinist Mate 1st Class. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Susan Schenker and her husband Michael of Simsbury, and Davida Novarr of Oakland, Calif.; her daughter-in-law Avra Novarr of Bloomfield; her brother Harold Greenbaum of Naples, Fla.; her grandchildren, Caryn Solomon and her husband Adam, Jonathan Schenker and his wife Alyson, Lauren Wolfson and her husband Sandy, Mathew Novarr and his fiancée Mandy Ewing and Jason Novarr; and eight great-grandchildren. Sylvia was predeceased by her son, Daniel Novarr and daughter Harriet Novarr as well as three brothers and three sisters. HEBREW FUNERAL ASSOCIATION, INC.
