Samuel Nachtigal, 91, of West Hartford, died Feb. 16. He was the widower of Helen R. (Cypel) Nachtigal. Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Moshe and Lea (Markfeld) Nachtigal. A Holocaust survivor, he lived in Israel for many years, and arrived in the United States with his family in 1961. He was a member of the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford in West Hartford. He is survived by his children, Jayne Mead of Leonia, N.J., Mark Nachtigal and his wife Barbara of West Hartford, and Rose Blum of West Hartford; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Baruch, two brothers, and by his family who perished in the Holocaust. WEINSTEIN MORTUARY
