Robert R. Cherlin, 98, of West Hartford died Dec. 7. He was the husband of Phyllis (Rogil) Cherlin. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., he was the son of the late Isadore and Sarah (Falkowitz) Cherlin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sisters-in-law, Estelle Cherlin of Tampa, Fla., and Norma Cherlin of Santa Rosa, Calif.; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mickey and Sy Tucker of Old Lyme, CT . He was predeceased by his brothers, George Cherlin and his wife Betty of San Diego, Alexander Cherlin and his wife Beatrice of West Hartford, Daniel Cherlin of West Hartford, and Martin Cherlin of Newington.
