Teens from JTConnect – the Jewish Teen Learning Connection – embarked on a day-long trip to New York City recently to explore their Jewish immigrant roots and their pride in being Americans. Accompanied by JTConnect Executive Director Heather Fiedler and faculty and Board member Marcus Fink the day began with a tour of the Lower East Side and made stops at the historic Eldrige Street Synagogue, the 9/11 Memorial, and Times Square.

The trip was part of a series of JTConnect’s JTWOW! (With Out Walls) events. Next up: The second annual Hanukkah Party Bus Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, Dec. 14 for teens in grades 9-12. $20 buys you drinks, snacks and lots of fun. For more information call (860) 727-6110.
