“How Israel is Changing the World for the Better” will be the subject of a talk by attorney and author Chuck Fax at a complimentary breakfast hosted by the Jewish National Fund on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Mandell Jewish Community Center in West Hartford.
“As the son of Holocaust survivors, I am deeply committed to not only the survival but to the flourishing of the Jewish state,” said breakfast co-chair C. Robert Zelinger, a Hartford attorney and a member of JNF’s New England Board of Directors. “No organization does more for enhancing the infrastructure of Israel than JNF. From forestry, to community development, to security, JNF is dedicated to connecting American Jews to their brothers and sisters in Israel. I look forward to assisting in that mission in the Hartford area.”
“I have had the privilege of visiting JNF’s water projects that are making the desert bloom,” said breakfast co-chair Bruce Stanger, also a Hartford attorney. “I have seen projects which are improving people’s day-to-day lives, providing a sense of community such as the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center, a bomb shelter, complete with all the distractions a child could dream up. JNF acts where others don’t or won’t. JNF’s vision and planning is amazing. It is the source if you want to understand what Israel can look like in ten years.”
