Yael Freimann has been appointed early childhood coordinator at The Emanuel Synagogue In West Hartford. In her new role, Freimann will facilitate programs in the Conservative shul’s newly renovated Early Childhood Center and will lead preschool services during the High Holy Days.
A native of California, Freimann has worked and studied in Spain, England and Israel. She has taught about Israel in schools around the world, has led trips to Israel, has taught Spanish to children ages 2 – 5 and has been a fifth grade teacher at Emanuel. She currently teaches at JTCentral and JTCommunity, and is a Rosh Hodesh group leader for JTConnect, all programs that help Jewish teens throughout the greater Hartford area connect to their heritage.
Freimann received her Bachelors degree from the University of California, San Diego in political science and urban studies and her Masters degree from the University of London in sustainable development. She lives in West Hartford with her husband Jonathan and their two sons.
