Joel G. Bishop, 84, of Bloomfield, died Sept. 22. He was the husband of the late Diane Kelman Bishop. Born in Hartford, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by five children, Samuel Bishop of Windham, ME, Daniel Bishop and his wife Louise of Katy, TX, Susan Hartshorn of Stafford, PA and her husband John, Emily Demarco and her husband Stephen of Baltimore, MD, and Sally Turnbull and her husband Dan of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Roscoe, Nathaniel, Jacob, Madeline, Benjamin, Caroline, Brian, Rachel and Matthew; and a sister, Jean Helliesen of LaCrosse, WI. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois.
