(JNS.org) Seven Israeli universities made the list of the world’s top 500 universities – three in the top 100 – in the newly released 2013 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Published by the Center for World-Class Universities at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, ARWU is considered one of the top school rankings systems due to its transparent methodology and reliable data. The #1 spot went to Harvard.
#59 – Hebrew University; also ranked among the top three universities in Asia and 11th among universities where English is not the primary language of instruction.
#77 – Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa
#92 – Weizmann Institute of Science
Other Israel universities making the top 500 were Tel Aviv University, Bar-Ilan University, Ben-Gurion University and the University of Haifa.
