Norwalk rabbi attends Holocaust Museum anniversary event

Four thousand people showed up in Washington, D.C. earlier this month to mark the 20th anniversary of the United the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Among those on hand to hear an address by keynote speaker Elie Wiesel – as well as remarks by other dignitaries, including former President Bill Clinton, and Irv Shapel, whose family foundation donated $15,000,000 to the U.S. Holocaust Museum — the largest gift received to date. Among those in attendance was Rabbi Mark Lipson, spiritual leader of Temple Shalom in Norwalk, who invited several friends and family to join him at the celebration, including Chief Justice John Roberts
