Judy and Michael Aron of West Hartford announce the engagement of their son Jeffrey Aron to Rachel Wallen, daughter of Harriet and the late William Wallen of Swampscott, Mass.

The future bride graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in arts administration. She is currently pursuing a Master of Education degree from Boston College and plans to teach middle school English.

The future groom graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer network and information systems. He is employed as an IT professional at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

A May 2014 wedding is planned at the Lynn Museum and Historical Society in Lynn, Mass.
