Sara Dratch, former Stamford Rebbetzin

Sara Lamm Dratch, wife of Rabbi Mark S. Dratch, Executive Vice President of the Rabbinical Council of America, has died after a brief illness. She was the youngest child of Mindella and Rabbi Dr. Norman Lamm, Chancellor and Rosh Hayeshiva of Yeshiva University and its affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary.
She was an alumna of Stern College for Women who served as her husband’s dedicated partner in his service to Orthodox congregations in Boca Raton, Fla., Schenectady, N.Y., Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Stamford, CT.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tova, Bracha, Yael and Shmuel; her siblings Chaye (and David) Warburg, Dr. Joshua (and Rivkie) Lamm, Shalom (and Tina) Lamm; her parents-in-law, Sidney and Bert Dratch; aunts and uncles, Rabbi Maurice (and Shirley) Lamm, Miriam (and Noel) Auslander, Tzivia (and Aaron) Sittner, Gloria Mehler, Jean (and Dr. Herbert) Kelman, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
