A day at the zoo

Students at K’tanim, the preschool of Temple Beth Sholom in Hamden, put the finishing touches on their six-week unit on animals one recent afternoon when they took a trip to the zoo. There, they go to view all the animal projects and engage in special educational activities set up at various stations. As part of the unit, the children also learned about the importance of being kind to animals, which led them to collect donations for Animal Haven, a shelter for dogs and cats in North Haven. The kids can’t wait to bring much needed supplies to the animal shelter.
