Abraham S. Waksman, 90, of Bloomfield, formerly of New York, died Feb. 13. He was the husband of the late Anita (Sirota) Waksman. Born in Piotrkow, Poland, he was a survivor of the Holocaust. He was raised by his older siblings Majer and Golda, and the Jewish Orphanage in Piotrkow. He survived the Holocaust along with Majer and his sister Mania, but lost his siblings Moishe and Golda. He is survived by his children, Larry Waksman and his wife Donna of South Windsor, and Melissa Waksman and Wayne Fonteix of Hampton, N.J.; and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Elyse Waksman.
