Louis Mager, Ed.D, 83, died Feb. 3. He was the husband of Rita (Kaufman) Mager. Born in East Haddam/Moodus, he was the son of the late Morris and Anna (Greenberg) Mager. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, James Mager of Brookfield, Renee Turner and her husband Kevin of Minneapolis, Mn., Michelle Goldsmith and her husband Carl of Westlake Village, Calif., and Julie Hughes of El Dorado, Kan.; his grandchildren, Gabe, Joshua and Shanti Turner, Eric and Jacob Hagen, Brianna, Danielle and David Mager, and Rachel Hughes; his sister Estelle Breslow; his brother David Hurovitz and his wife Michelle; his daughter-in-law, Chonita Milla; his brother-in-law Alan Kaufman and his wife Roberta. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Max, and his sisters, Lena, Rose, and Helen.
