Thelma “Tybie” (Fierberg) Katz, 90, of West Hartford, died Jan. 28. She was the wife of the late Herbert Ruel Katz. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Maurice R. and Fannie (Matchton) Fierberg. She is survived by her sons, Robert M. Katz and his wife Bobbie Werner of West Hartford, and David P. Katz and his wife Elizabeth of Easton; her sister, Jane Field of West Hartford; and four grandchildren, Dana, Evan, Benjamin and Peter. She was predeceased by her sister Bernice Jacobson.
