Hadassah plants a grove of trees for Newtown victims

Two months after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the Stamford and Greater Newtown-Danbury chapters of Hadassah honored Newtown town employees and volunteers at a High Tea on Feb. 13 in the Newtown Municipal Center. In the wake of the tragedy, Hadassah launched a national fundraising campaign to plant a grove of trees in Beer Sheva, Israel in memory of the victims. Newtown First Selectwoman Patricia Llodra was presented with a framed certificate from Hadassah national president Marcie Natan acknowledging the tree-planting.
