Robert “Bob” Lappen, 82, died Dec. 28. He was the husband of Marilyn (Rohrlick) Lappen. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Evelyn Lappen. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in Panama during the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeffrey Lappen and his wife Lisa of Simsbury, and Lori Gaines and her husband Edward of Colts Neck, N.J.; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Amanda and Andrew of Colts Neck, N.J.; his sister Elaine and her husband Harry Lane of West Hartford; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Elaine and Harvey Ofshay of West Hartford.
