The Hebrew High School of New England (HHNE) boys’ soccer team wrapped up another victorious year, winning 75% of the matches played against other private schools. The team attributes much of its success
to the private trainers who worked with team members, focusing on core conditioning.
But their winning record isn’t all team members are proud of.
“At the last game, one of the HHNE players stopped in the middle of a play to help up a member of the opposite team who had been knocked down,” says the team’s coach, Gerry Goldberg. “A referee with decades of experience commented that this incident is testament to the character of the HHNE players. We want to have really good soccer players, but more than that, we want to have really good people.”
