Living longer in Israel

(Israel Hayom/Exclusive to JNS.org) According to a new study released by the Jewish state’s Central Bureau for Statistics, Israelis have among the highest life expectancies in the world.

81.7 years – overall Israeli life expectancy, which places Israel fifth out of all 34 countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
79.7 years – average life expectancy of those living in OECD countries
79.9 years – average life expectancy of Israeli men; second only to Swiss men. Men in Japan, Sweden, Iceland and Australia have similar life expectancies to Israeli men.
80.6 – average life expectancy of Swiss men
