Jerome Silverstein, 88, of Clinton died Nov. 19. He was the widower of Selma (Halpern) Silverstein. He was the son of the late Philip and Sadie Silverstein of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a sergeant in the U. S. Army during World War II, serving for three years in England, France and Germany. He is survived by his son Kenneth Silverstein of Los Angeles, Calif. He was also pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters: Rabbi Ralph Silverstein, Deborah Freedman, Yvette Griesman, Milton Silverstein and Ruth Brooks.
