Hospice Volunteers Needed

Hebrew Health Care Hospice is looking for people and pet companions who want to share their time and talents with our hospice patients in a variety of settings. In particular, we are looking for:
• Veterans
• Pet Therapy certified dogs and cats
• Massage/Reiki specialists
• Russian and Spanish speaking individuals
• Artists and painters
• Knitters and people who like to sew
• Expressive puppeteers

Volunteers work wherever the patient calls home, e.g., assisted living, skilled nursing andindependent living facilities, private homes or hospitals. They provide companionship to ourpatients, while supporting caregivers and their families.

All Hospice volunteers are required to complete 20 hours of orientation training and attend12 additional hours per year of in service continuing education.
