Sylvia Yaffa, 90, of West Hartford, died Nov. 10. She was the wife of Charles Yaffa. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Ruth Sachs. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son-in-law, Howard Segal of Bloomfield; her grandchildren, Lori Segal of New York, and Adam Segal and Sadelle Chain Segal of Massachusetts; her great-granddaughter, Hannah Joy Segal; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Claire and Louis Yaffa; and her brother-in-law Irv Yaffa. She was also predeceased by her daughter Joan Yaffa Segal and her sister Lillian Sachs Golden.
