Three West Hartford synagogues to honor America’s vets

WEST HARTFORD – As it does every year, Beth El Temple in West Hartford is gearing up to present its annual, nationally recognized Veterans Day program honoring the men and women who have served
in America’s armed forces. This year, the shul is broadening the program by partnering with two other West Hartford shuls: Congregation Beth Israel and The Emanuel Synagogue to present the program which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m at Beth El.
Cantors Sanford Cohn of Emanuel, Joseph Ness of Beth El and Pamela Siskin of Beth Israel will provide a collaborative musical component. Additionally, Cantor Cohn will conduct the HaZamir Hartford Jewish high school choir. Three veterans, Al Reiner, (Beth El) Dr. Robert Rudnicki (Emanuel) and Jeffrey Winick (Beth Israel) will each share personal accounts of service to their country. An Honor Guard and roll call will
also be provided to mark the occasion. A dessert reception and patriotic sing-along concludes the proceedings.
Beth El Temple is located at 2626 Albany Ave. West Hartford. The program is free, but RSVPs for veterans and their families and community members who would like to honor our veterans is required by Friday,
