Joseph B. (Yosi) Cazary, son of the late Rivka Kook Cazary and Ephraim Cazary of Israel, was laid to rest on Oct. 11. He was the great nephew of the late Rabbi Avraham Isaak Kook and grandson of Rabbi Shmuel Kook. Born in Jerusalem, Yosi served in the Israeli paratroopers and the Israeli Merchant Marines. He traveled to five of the seven continents while working for Zim Lines and later as president of his own ship chartering company. He loved to cook and taught classes at the JCC and Beth El in Fairfield. His specialty was kosher sushi and other Japanese dishes. He taught one semester of Hebrew for adults at the JCC. He loved art and Hebrew literature and poetry. He is survived by his wife Susan, children Dov and Keren, much loved granddaughter Ella, brother Shlomo (California) and sister Pazi (Israel).
