The Jewish Home goes to the White House

FAIRFIELD – Andrew H. Banoff, president and CEO of The Jewish Home in Fairfield, was part of a panel of experts discussing the issue of elder abuse at the first Association of Jewish Aging Services (AJAS) Senior Health Care briefing held at the White House earlier this month. Organized by the White House to address Obama Administration initiatives in the area of elder abuse, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare/Medicaid and home and community based services, Administration officials acknowledged the many important contributions that Jewish communities have made to the field of aging services: for example,  The Jewish Home is one of the first organizations in the nation to have a resource for Elder Abuse Prevention.
