Mary (Sandler) Stengel, 93, of Bloomfield, died Sept. 13. She was the widow of Joseph “Joe” Stengel. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of Lewis and Lena Sandler. She is survived by her children, Lewis H. Stengel and his wife Shirley of Windsor, and Anne Plaut and her husband Marvin of Glastonbury; her grandchildren, Eric Plaut and his wife Rebecca, Lori Koplin and her husband Hal, Alyse Evasius and her husband Rich, and Marcy Stengel and her husband Brian Murray; and her great-grandchildren, Rachel, Becca, Ben, Ryan, Bella, Spencer, and Camden.
