July unemployment stats hold better news for Israel than the U.S.
35,000 jobs were created in Israel in July, leading to a drop of 0.6 percent in the Jewish state’s unemployment rate, according to an Aug. 30 report from the country’s Central Bureau of Statistics.
116,000 jobs have been created in Israel since the beginning of 2012.
6.5% – Israel’s July unemployment rate (a drop from 7.1% in June)
8.3% – The U.S.’ July unemployment rate (holding relatively steady since June, when the rate was 8.2%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
