Esther (Ziff) Winkler, 99, of Simsbury, died August 22. She was the wife of Morris H. Winkler. Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Levine) Winkler. She is survived by her children, Lawrence Joel (Barbara) Winkler of Kingston, N.Y., and Sandra Winkler (Dr. T.V.) Rajan of Farmington; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also was predeceased by two brothers, Jack and Joseph Ziff; and a sister, Dora Estrin.
