Shulamis “Shirley” Hoffmann, 84 of Farmington died August 8. She was the widow of Paul Hoffman. Born in Harbin, China, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Fania (Egootkin) Froloff. She spent the war years in Shanghai, China . She is survived by her children, Abraham Hoffmann and wife Jayne of Trumbull, and Jean Lewanda and her husband Douglas of Farmington; her grandchildren, Rebecca Pollack and her husband Brian of Summit, N.J., Emily Hoffmann of Fairfield, David Lewanda and his wife Erica of Cherry Hill, N.J., Cara Lewanda of Houston, Tex.; and her great-grandchildren, Jonathan Henry and Alexis Sarah Lewanda. She was also predeceased by her brother Tuvia Froloff.
