Video: One voice, loud and strong

Moran Samuel

When organizers of an international sports competition for disabled athletes held in Italy last month failed to come up with a recording of the Hatikvah – Israel’s national anthem — Gold Medal winner Moran Samuel took matters into her own hands. The 24-year old rower asked for a mic and sang the song herself.
“If you look at an obstacle as a challenge, then you’ll do the maximum to overcome it,” Moran said later. “There can be small challenges, like the anthem and me taking the mic and singing, and there can be bigger challenges.”
