George Jacob Trehub, 96, of West Hartford died May 23. He was the husband of Marion Gitlen Trehub. Born in Malden, Mass., he was the son of Rose and Clarence Trehub. He was an inspector of materials for the Navy Department during World War II. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Claire Waller of Niantic, Steven and Pamela Trehub of Placerville, Calif., and Martin and Margaret Trehub of Waterford; grandchildren, Alexandra Latham Johnson and Ken, Matthew Trehub and Jennifer, Sarah Waller, and Henry Trehub; great-grandson, Benjamin Johnson; brother Arnold Trehub; sister-in-law Elaine; brother-in-law Howard Gitlen; former daughter-in-law Fredda Trehub.
