Scolnic

 

Rabbi Samuel Scolnic, 88, died May 26. He was the husband of Judith Malka Edidin Scolnic. Born in Ft. Worth, Tex., he was the son of Israel and Rebecca Scolnic. He served as a U.S. Chaplain during the Korean War. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rabbi Benjamin (Dorene) Scolnic, Rebecca (Joseph) Gautieri, David (Ellen) Scolnic, and Donna (Robert) Gregor; his grandchuildren, Rachel (David) Scolnic Dobin, Daniel, Joshua and Sarah Scolnic, Dvora, Sara and Yehuda Gautieri, Michael, Jessica and Andrew Scolnic and Simone, Lia and Myles Gregor; and two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Avi.
