Dr. Reuben Ravden, 93, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Carolton Convalescent Center in Fairfield.   Dr. Ravden was born in Lithuania, a son of the late Pincus and Chana Ravden.  He was raised in South Africa, where he met his beloved wife, Nina, who survives him.  Dr. Ravden was a distinguished psychiatrist, having practiced in Bridgeport and Fairfield since arriving in the United States in 1976.  He was a long time member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom.  In addition to his wife, Dr. Ravden is survived by his loving children Dr. Marshall Ravden and his wife Linda of La Jolla, CA and Shirley Baron and her husband Stanley of Fairfield, adored grandchildren Daran, Nicholas, Guy and Jodi, and cherished sister Sonia Finberg of Cape Town, South Africa.  A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 25 in Bridgeport.  The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.
