Ruth Barcan Marcus, 90, of New Haven died Feb. 19. Born in New York City,  she was the daughter of Samuel Barcan and Rose Post Barcan. She is survived by her sister, Hilda Fishback of Maryland; her children, James of Boston, Peter of DeWitt, N.Y., Katherine of New York City, Libby (Davis Robinson) of Portland, Me.; and her grandchildren.
