2 Bereavement Groups for Adults

SOUTHBURY – The Brownstein Jewish Family Service will host two different short-term bereavement groups for adults who have experienced a loss. Jenny Casey, MSW of Regional Hospice, will lead a six-week group that will meet on Thursdays, 3:30 – 4:45 p.m., March 1 – April 5. The goal of this group is supportive in nature, providing a safe environment for sharing with others who have also been touched by loss.
A new group, Jewish Journey Through Grief, has just begun and will run until April 3.  Co-facilitated by Bryna Pauker, LCSW of VITAS Innovative Hospice, and Rabbi Dovid Stein, the Jewish Federation’s chaplain, the group meets Tuesdays, 1:30 – 3 p.m.
There is no cost for either group, but pre-registration is required. Groups will meet in the library at the Jewish
Federation, 444 Main St. North. To register, call Debby Horowitz at (203) 267-3177 x310.
