WEST HARTFORD – Hoffman SummerWood Community was recognized recently by the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) with the 2011 Best Practices Award for its “Merits of Distinction” marketing initiative. The Merits of Distinction tool was developed to help the public understand the community’s unique set of attributes. SummerWood representatives accepted the award at CALA’s annual meeting at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. This was the second consecutive year the West Hartford assisted living community was recognized for its novel marketing strategies.  SummerWood is an affiliate of Hebrew Health Care.
