STORRS – Gregory Levey, a former speechwriter for the Israeli Mission at the United Nations, recently discussed his memoir “Shut up, I’m Talking” at an event co-sponsored by the UCONN Trachten-Zach’s Hillel and the school’s student union organiztion. “Don’t go to law school, people, it is extremely boring,” was the first of many humorous pieces of advice from Levey, who explained how he later applied for an “internship” with the Israeli Mission at the UN, which turned into an official job as a speechwriter. He eventually become the speechwriter for former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Levey lives in Toronto where he is a communications professor and also teaches speech writing.  His newer memoir is titled, “How To Make Peace In The Middle East In Six Months Or Less Without Leaving Your Apartment.”
