Eight past presidents of Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford joined with current president Robin Landau and Head of School Rabbi Elliot Goldberg at the day school’s first Presidents’ Council meeting in West Hartford. “My hope is that this council will be an advocate for Jewish day school education in general and for Solomon Schechter Day School in particular,” event chair Arlene Neiditz, a founder and past president of the school, said. Head of School Rabbi Goldberg agreed. “It is a great moment of opportunity,” he said, adding, “Change is easy, transitions are hard, but our enrollment held steady and we feel optimistic about the future.”
