Bessie (Butler) Hammer, of West Hartford, formerly of East Hartford, died Oct. 17. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Rose (Vine) Butler. She is survived by her children, Arthur Koffinke and Doris Bunce, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; her sister Edith Kraimer of West Hartford; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Esther Baer and her brother, Louis Butler.
